Minister of State for Education Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba stated this at the official flagging-off ceremony of the Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) programme in Katsina state. xBESDA is a World Bank-assisted project in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education, among other stakeholders. “It is in light of this that we are here to launch BESDA in Katsina State. “The effort made in this sector has improved the basic and secondary school education. The performance of Katsina State students in secondary school examination from 2015 to 2020 has significantly improved from only 19 per cent to 72.2 per cent in 2020.”
